4/6/2015 – BST + Oly 1st Creek
1:27 – 2500' – 8miles
Easy for 1hr. Hard for the remainder.
4/7/2015 – Olympus (summit)
1:57 – 4200' – 6.25miles
Easy effort throughout. Chilly and windy day!
4/9/2015 – Oly 1st creek + Hill Repeats
1:25 – 2500' – 5.5miles
Snow! Shit. Didn't want to deal with it past the 1st creek, so I turned back and did 6 x 3' HR's down by the parking lot. Ran into Shingo and chatted for a good 10min. Felt great to catch up with an icon of the local climbing community.
4/10/2015 – Olympus (summit)
2:04 – 4200' – 6.25miles
Mild effort to the summit. Mild effort down. Lots of mud and snow runoff up high. Scramble to the top was attentive - descending even more so.
4/12/2015 – Olympus (summit from millcreek einsteins)
2:48 – 5100' – 12miles
Solid effort throughout. Went easy on the big climbs since I was hoping to put in a longer run today, but called it short due to a house/garden project that needed attention. Still a great run though.
4/13/2015 – Oly BST
1:12 – 1700' – 6
Very easy hiking and jogging. Out and back on the BST from the main TH.
4/14/2015 – Oly BST & Environs
1:03 - 2100' - 6miles
Ugh… wind. 30-40mph gusts!! Storms a brewin'. Consistent effort throughout. PR from the Z/Slab trail intersection back to the main TH (21:28). Seemed odd with such a vicious headwind.
No. Snow… a lot of snow. 8" on our front yard.
4/16/2015 – BST to Red Butte Gate
:50 – 1100' – 6.6miles
Can't believe all the snow melted! Intense effort today. Quite muddy. Tried to keep the pace under a 9' mile for the duration. Managed to hold an 8'05" pace for the outing. Pleased. Tight ham's in the evening, though.
4/18/2015 – BoSho Marathon
4:25:25 – 6300' – 26.2miles
What an ass kicker! A great local event put on by some fine folks. I put in a solid effort throughout, despite my hamstrings bunching up around mile 14 due to some mud. I couldn't get them to release. I decided to push through and plan to stretch afterwards, but I was too tired to do much more than drive home after the run. Mostly happy with my running, though. Feeling faster with my running, but I really need some help with my running form/gait.
4/19/2015 – Zoo Area Paths
51min – 1250' - 4miles
Easy hike/jog around the trails near the zoo. No pushing the pace, rather a nice way to loosen the legs a bit. Felt pretty good to stretch out back at the car.
